AIR JORDAN: 9 RETRO “UNC” [WHITE/UNIVERSITY BLUE/MIDNIGHT NAVY]
Designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1993, Michael Jordan’s ninth signature shoe first released during MJ’s first retirement from the NBA for career in baseball. Jordan never wore the AJ9’s during a regular-season game, but there were several color-ways, low-top versions, and Player Exclusives that later followed its release.
His first time hosting the NBA All Star games, Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand are paying homage to his Airness' Carolina roots by releasing an Air Jordan 9 Retro in a color-way that mixes a Tar Heel friendly palette of white, university blue, and midnight navy.
