Celebrating Representation in Skate
What does true representation in skate culture look like?
Grounded in authenticity and the celebration of community, the APB x Crenshaw Skate Club collaboration represents a space where diverse voices are seen, heard, and celebrated.
This two-piece collection is part of The Whitaker Group’s COLOR CODE initiative, a program designed to empower Black and minority designers by connecting them with retail platforms. Fusing the identities of APB and CSC, the collection features tees in sizes S-XXL, including a Charlotte-exclusive colorway that honors our newest retail location.
Founded by Tobey McIntosh in South Central Los Angeles, Crenshaw Skate Club has always championed elevating traditionally overlooked voices in skate culture. Built on community, unity, and empowerment, CSC inspires individuals to embrace their identity and connect for a greater purpose. This partnership with APB amplifies that vision, uniting skateboarding with shared creativity and purpose.
“It is an incredible honor to collaborate with APB to celebrate such a monumental milestone. The creation of a fully public, independent skatepark is a testament to the power of investing in community spaces, and it resonates deeply with me. This is the kind of resource I dream of seeing in every community, including my own. Skateparks are more than just places to learn tricks; they are creative havens where young people can express themselves, build connections, and grow together.” – Tobey McIntosh, Founder of Crenshaw Skate Club
